Honorary Treasurer

The role

The appointment is for four years commencing November 2024.


In association with the other officers, the treasurer is expected to take a leading role in developing and delivering the Joint Neurosciences Council charitable objectives.


The treasurer is an executive role, with responsibilities as a trustee and director of the Joint Neurosciences Council. This includes taking the lead on policy and managing the finances of the organisation.


Person specifications

The Treasurer must be a full (or equivalent) member of one of the associations that form the Joint Neurosciences Council.


We are keen to appoint someone who have the ambition and drive to maximise development of the Joint Neurosciences Council over the next four years.

President


The role

The appointment is for four years commencing 7 November 2024. The appointee will serve one year as president elect, two years as president and one year as immediate past president.


In association with the other officers, the president is expected to take a leading role in developing and delivering the Joint Neurosciences Council charitable objectives including advocacy, research and education.


The president is an executive role, with responsibilities as a trustee and director of the Joint Neurosciences Council.


This includes taking the lead on policy, representing the UK neuroscience associations at meetings and chairing the tri-annual joint neurosciences council meetings.

The president must be a full (or equivalent) member of one of the associations that form the Joint Neurosciences Council.
